If you want to have an experience like no other, the time to go to the United Arab Emirates is upon you. From October 20, 2020 to April 10, 2020 the World Expo Dubai will be taking place and now is the perfect time for you to start planning your travel here. With 192 countries taking part in this once in a lifetime event, this is surely the best place and time to discover not just the UAE, but the world.
Promised sunshine, golden sand dunes, and incredibly inspiring architecture are what make the United Arab Emirates an amazing destination to explore. No doubt, there is plenty to keep active travelers happy and for those travelers who seek peace and relaxation, there are endless opportunities to unwind and utterly spoil yourself in the many excellent spas and resorts found throughout this small but, vibrant country.
There are seven emirates in the UAE with the most well-traveled being Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Sharjah, the 3rd largest emirate and the only one to lie on both the Arabian Gulf in the west and the Gulf of Oman, is the cultural arts center of the UAE.
Nature lovers will appreciate its expansive beaches, marshes, and acacia forests. The Emirates are within an easy driving distance of each other and offer interesting forts, Islamic and modern architecture, beaches, islands, and mountainous landscapes. The UAE is also a great destination for families with numerous attractions and site seeing opportunities within easy reach of wherever you are.
Travel Highlight in The United Arab Emirates
Madinat Jumeirah is one of Dubai’s most stunning modern examples of architecture. Built to be an authentic recreation of an ancient Arabian city, this sprawling Moorish style complex has sand colored barjeels (wind tunnels) that give it a beautiful skyline and it features meandering waterways with abras (water taxis) that are used to get around. The spectacular scenery provides an ambiance that is quite unique to Dubai. Currently, there are three 5-star hotels and soon to be a fourth, a traditional souk, fifty amazing restaurants, a fitness center, tennis courts and a spa.
Ferrari World Abu Dhabi
Fun for everyone at this amazing theme park on Yas Island. From thrills on rides to jaw-dropping, driving experiences, shopping and dining a day here is sure to keep everyone happy.
From ancient times to modern, Islamic, Arabic and traditional vernacular architecture, anyone with an interest in architecture will find the United Arab Emirates to be an extremely rewarding experience. Throughout the country, there are numerous sites including the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi and the Fujairah Fort.
For nature seekers, the Hatta Dam area is a popular place to kayak as well as to go hiking in the Hajar Mountains. There is also a restored heritage village which is an interesting way to see the traditional way of living.
A overnight visit to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Al Ain and the Jebel Hafit Desert Park in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi is the stuff of dreams. There are over 4,000 different animal species like the Arbaian Oryx, stunning landscapes and surreal night skies. Go glamping and stay in a luxury tent for a night or two and experience what it's like to live like a Bedouin, albeit a spoiled one.
Amazing Travel Experiences In The UAE
The Best Times To Visit The
United Arab Emirates
One of the best things about the UAE, your trip will not likely be ruined by downpours! It hardly rains in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Practically guaranteed sunshine.
The spring and fall have less crowds and more favorable room rates. April, May, September and October are a happy medium.
For the very best weather, December through March has the most comfortable temperatures. If you don't mind blazing hot weather, and like more room to move around, knock yourself out and enjoy the lowest rates in the summer months.
Always check to see what's happening during your travel months as rates and availability could present challenges. The Formula One race usually takes place in Abu Dhabi in November and rooms are much harder to come by.
