Soul Free Travels specializes in planning custom vacations, destination events, and from time to time, we offer our own special adventures for travelers from all walks of life who are seeking authentic travel experiences with kindred spirits.

We are based in Austin, Texas and work out there—in the clouds. You can be from just about anywhere. We work with clients throughout the United States and beyond, utilizing modern technologies to work with you. From online meetings to the old school phone, there are many ways in which we can work together.

Travel planning is just part of what we do.  We essentially support your best interests and work to protect your travel investment.  We like to say, “we’ve got your back from hello.”

How Soul Free Travels Started

The story of Soul Free Travels really begins with Photocentric Travels. Born from our passion for travel, photography, and making a positive difference in our world, we set out creating small group trips tailored to those birds of a feather who love to experience the world through the eyes of a lens. 

On our research trips for Photocentric Travels, we are always laser focused on vetting travel partners, learning about the local culture and getting the lay of the land through personal experience.

Sometimes we visit the usual hot spots, but most often, we are seeking those hidden gems and special experiences that truly reveal the essence of a place. We also seek out opportunities on how we, as travelers, can make a positive difference in the places we visit.  

As a result of our travels, we found that people were often coming to us for guidance outside of photography trips. We were helping them to plan trips, advising on how to get deals, and suggesting where to go, what to do, and making referrals. We quickly realized that we could offer better trips, as well as help people achieve their travel goals by becoming true travel advisors with the capabilities of an agency.

Our name came about when trying to describe the feelings that we get when we are traveling. Serendipity, contentment and wonderment often come to mind.  There is nothing like exploring your passions, whether it be photography or surfing. Whatever it is that gets you motivated and grounded! That feeling of being free to slow down and truly experience life without interference from the daily grind. It’s all of this and more.

This vibe or emotional state, it’s all encompassing and you weave in and out of different states. It usually feels really good, sometimes it gets sad, and sometimes it even ends up being life changing. This vibe, it is so special, we thought we’d like to bottle it and share it with kindred spirits. 

Since we can’t really bottle it, we instead bring our special travel recipes, acquired knowledge and expertise to you— and we call it Soul Free Travels.
